What to Include in an ASIC Parts Quote Request

A slow or inaccurate parts quote is rarely a pricing problem. It is an information problem. Every email sent back to confirm a model number or a delivery address adds a day, and the machine stays down for that day. Across a few hundred or a few thousand units, that day costs more than any price difference on the part itself.

This is what a complete request looks like. Send this and the quote comes back ready to order from.

Why an incomplete request slows everything down

Power supplies, control boards and fans differ between revisions of the same machine family. “S19 power supply” or “Antminer control board” is not enough to establish compatibility, so the first reply has to be a question rather than a price.

Where the part ships from matters just as much. A line held in US local stock and the same line coming from China carry different freight costs and different lead times. Until the destination and the deadline are known, neither can be priced.

Given the full picture, the quote arrives complete: part, freight and lead time worked out together, ready to invoice once approved.

Six things every request needs

  1. Miner model and revision — including the hashrate variant and whether the machine is air-cooled or hydro. If you are unsure, photograph the nameplate.
  2. Part number — power supplies, control boards and hashboards all carry a label. A photograph of that label is more reliable than a written description.
  3. Quantity — the total, and whether it needs to ship in batches.
  4. New or used — say if used is acceptable. It widens both the options and the price range.
  5. Delivery address — country, state and postcode at minimum. This determines freight and how customs is handled.
  6. Timing — whether this is a machine down now or stock for the shelf. Urgent requests are checked against US local inventory first, though local availability is never guaranteed.

What makes a quote more accurate

  • Photographs — nameplate, labels and connectors, particularly for control boards and cables.
  • Whether alternatives are acceptable — if the original part is unavailable, say whether a compatible equivalent can be substituted.
  • For repair enquiries — the fault behaviour, error logs, and what has already been checked. A single error code is rarely enough to conclude that a hashboard needs replacing; a full description of the symptoms lets us judge between repair, a component swap and a board replacement.
  • Payment preference — bank ACH or wire (the default), USDT on ERC20 or TRC20, BTC, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal or cheque.

The short version

Model, part number, quantity, condition, destination, deadline. Six lines in an email, or the same six fields on the quote form. That is the difference between a quote the same business day and a week of back and forth.

Need this part, or this repair?

Send the part number and the quantity. A quote with price, condition, lead time and freight comes back within one business day.
